hehz today is the only morn in this hols that i can stay at home and wake up late ... says a lot abt how screwed up this june hols is.
haiz ... hafta see all those columnists post their views on the beckham sale all over again in the papers. i mean i have seen at least more than 20 different 'experts' voice their stuff. i muz say its getting pretty dry liaohz. anywayz i still hold the same views on the issue. but 25 million pounds is really a puny amount.
here's a summary of the different views of the various 'experts':
1. that becks was sold to help facilitate a change of formation (eg 4-2-3-1) ie: for pure 'footballing reasons'
2. that he was sold because of an ongoing feud between him and the manager sir alex ferguson
3. that he was sold because of his 'popstar image' and his lavish lifestyle which supposedly got on ferguson's nerves
4. sir alex ferguson is jealous of victoria beckham (ok mebbe not, but that woman played a part in influencing becks and his lifestyle)
5. the fact that he is on a 90000 pounds-a-week payroll, with only 2 years of his contract left, meant that cashing in on the 28-year-old would make good business and footballing sense
6. his heart was no longer with manchester united, explaining the below-par performances by his standards
there were many, many other reasons, and of course more than a few articles listed "an interplay of factors" as the reason, but wadeva it is, as long as sir alex ferguson knows what he is doing, then let it be n dun worry. and we know sir alex ferguson knows his stuff.
btw, much as i am an advocate of right of free speech and civil rights and all that, its qt sad tt i have so far failed to live up to that 'dream' on more than one occasion. right ben ang? hehz ;)
