ytd we had our handover.. we tot we started off on quite an okay tone, but it began to turn into a crazy affair when we started saying lame stuff, so thankfully it became more light-hearted. we were short of time anywayz, coz national day ended later than we projected, so we dismissed dem for lunch first b4 doing the handover thingie. by den yang laoshi had come so mr lee told us to make it quick. we started off by giving yang laoshi the shirt, which looked suspiciously plainer than we tot it was when we first bought it.
we then announced the posts one-by-one, but there wasnt much suspense anywayz coz of some good job by certain ppl, but oh wells. we spared everyone from our expected long speeches coz there wasnt a need to given the whole atmosphere. zongjin's chairman, kianghon's vice chairman and weixiong is secretary. woot, congrats, this is a promising team.
later on ben ang did his usual screwing about with mr lee. they did this 'farewell' handshake which quickly evolved into a game of brinkmanship as they gripped each other's hands as tightly as they could. of course ben ang lost hehz ... b4 tt mr lee came to tell the 2 of us in a freakishly low tone that he will be missing us, and that he hopes we will be coming back for more practices. i tot i saw his eyes redden, but ben ang din make much eye contact with him, so he claimed that he din notice. whatever the case mr lee is a great teacher, one who fought alongside us at every single practice session. i mean not many teachers will be willing to stay back almost as long as the last person to leave the room, sometimes at ard 7+ pm, or rush to buy chinese medicine for our dear chairman when he gets sick ...
anywayz, we took some photos b4 we left. i got frantic calls for eugene chua saying that mr ong wants me to go over to drink coffee with our class. so i went there despite being the sua ku that i am, not knowing where the place was. finally i reached there and since this was the first time i am joining them for 'a spot of tea' with mr ong, i was surprised at mr ong's generosity since each mocha or tea costs around 5 bucks, and i figured he would by now have splashed out ard 200 bucks on us ... hmmz we are blessed with great teachers here at RI.
i think i am falling ill, after prophesying last saturday that i would soon. hmmz gtg nurse myself back to health, dun wanna be sick on sunday. there is the braddel heights concert as well as the man utd vs arsenal community shield match on sunday. sadly the former starts at 8 (i think) and the latter at 9, so i guess this time i will hafta strike a compromise between my two loves ... hope i will be in time to at least catch part of the second half ... sighz ...
