hcco interaction was really quite fun today ... much, much, much better than last year's i must say. haha if only i had slept earlier last night, then i would've had more energy to participate in the activities. less than 5 hours of sleep for more than a week isn't exactly ideal, plus the fact that my internal clock is so screwed up coz i watched the euro champs league on thursday early in the morning.

anyway we had the usual performance segment first. i had previously thought it wouldn't be highly entertaining, in other words, quite boring, but then snco gave us all a very pleasant surprise. they put up a short skit, which had quite a nonsensical plot to it, but the amount of thought that went into it was absolutely impressive. for example, when they came to the part where 'flowers' were mentioned, the orchestra in the background played an excerpt of "hong hua bian di kai"; for the part where 'fishing' was mentioned, the orchestra played "yu zhou kai ge"; horses "ben chi zai qian li cao yuan"; and when the main character was ruing the loss of her (or was it his) fish that she / he caught, they played the shu1 qing2 part of "fen yong qian jing" ... hah i was really very impressed lor.

after lunch we were split into our respective groups, and then we had icebreakers. too bad our group was quite lethargic, only ben, i and the snco people actively participated, the rest were like on and off ... icebreakers was the usual 'whacko' and some number-guessing game that was quite lame actually, if not for the forfeits which added some thrill to the game. and of course we had a super 'creative' person who kept coming up with the most tedious yet refreshing of forfeits, wouldn't mention her name w/o her permission ;) in the end ben had to tango with her, and spell 'mississippi' backwards with his butt ... 'nuff said ... the maze game was quite lame. "who wants to be a millionaire" was also quite lame lar ... captain's balloon was the most fun in my opinion. the last game was this song-guessing game, and i guessed several correct, but i couldn't believe that i failed to get "hua mu lan" correct, i just had mental block at that time lar ... damn ...

hmmm this interaction was pretty impressive ... only that i ended up dead tired after the whole thing ended. and it later dawned on me that this interaction was the last one i will ever participate in ... good thing it was enjoyable, at least much more so than last year's.
